Founded in 1998 on the roots of twenty years of prior experience, SIR is a company specialized in the production of high-quality recycled plastic compounds, made of Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Polystyrene, and ABS, customized according to specific market needs and requirements.
Thanks to solid know-how in plastics production that has evolved increasingly with a focus on eco-sustainability, over more than twenty years of activity SIR has become a national benchmark for highly customized plastic compounding processes serving the storage, automotive, office and garden furniture, and industrial components sectors.
Initially, the company operated in the creation of regenerated plastic compounds exclusively for the office furniture sector. As market awareness of recycling shifted—seen no longer only as an opportunity to cut costs but above all as a way to give new life to plastic materials while reducing environmental impact—new horizons opened up for SIR within a context that increasingly values and rewards a circular, sustainable, and responsible economy.
A key role in this shift was played by the company’s relocation in 2016, from its headquarters in Carmignano to its current site in Piazzola sul Brenta, where large space is dedicated to SIR’s mission: to be the final link in the circular economy through high-level plastic recycling.
Thanks to continuous investment in advanced technology and top-level partnerships, today the company, in addition to being an important point of reference for the Italian market, is also experiencing steady growth internationally. Space for a high-quality, customized plastic recycling concept
SIR today operates across an area of 70,000 m² fully equipped with next-generation facilities, with a production capacity of 50,000 tons per year.

This large and well-structured space accommodates production, commercial offices, and warehouse facilities, ensuring efficient workflow management, optimized process organization, and maximum efficiency of production lines, all aimed at sustaining continuous growth in the diverse and ever-evolving field of plastic regeneration.
The company currently has seven compounding lines and two laboratories—one for incoming and one for outgoing materials.
The first one performs rigorous analysis of the properties of incoming End of Waste materials—post-industrial or post-consumer plastics—ensuring the most effective preparation of formulations for compounds. The second one, operating 24/7, carries out a wide and detailed series of specific tests to guarantee that every product meets quality and safety standards before entering the market.
The presence of a large warehouse responds to the needs of a company that has made top-level customization its hallmark, in line with the constant evolution of the green plastics sector. This sector is marked by the development of increasingly innovative products driven by new applications, each requiring different solutions and formulations.
High customization involves intense research and development for the preparation of tailor-made compounds, capable of meeting every specific requirement. This means combining different types of secondary raw materials, which must necessarily be stored in large quantities to ensure continuous availability and a reliable supply chain.
At a single site, SIR brings together the development of this virtuous concept of plastic recycling, constantly optimized through synergies with key industry players, with the goal of strengthening the recycling supply chain and maintaining control over every step of the process.
